Engineering

Race car engineering encompasses a wide variety of things, sometimes it can mean the selection of appropriate parts of the right quality to perform a particular function and how they integrate. It requires a thorough knowledge of not only parts available but of the engineering behind the part, whether it is of a suitable material or has been machined to meet a particular standard.

Sometimes there is no part available for the task which can mean adapting a part or even designing and manufacturing of the part. PowerPlay has both the capacity and capabilities needed to adapt or design and manufacture one-off speciality parts. These parts can be tailor-made headers, floating hubs, dry sump pumps, gearbox and differential internals, air intake units, twin row hubs and even crankshafts. Any workshop can buy in a part but it takes a professional race car builder to design and make these from the ground-up.
